This is a really difficult post to make, but it’s something that I need to share. I will be taking a sabbatical from writing for the foreseeable future. In the past few years our family has been struggling with my husband’s chronic illness. This year we were finally able to get a real diagnosis and are going through a program here to hopefully get him some relief.
But the last few years have been extremely rough emotionally, physically and creatively. I have taken on more and more onto my plate as we’ve worked on this. Add to that my own very serious injury and long, complicated recovery, my father’s death and trying to write romance when the industry and the world are both burning has become more and more impossible.
Does it mean I’ll never come back? I hope not. I’ll re-release my Christmas novella Her Duke With Benefits in October 2026 and a box set for The Pleasure Wars in December 2026. Translations will continue in Brazil through Leabhar, though German, Italian and Audio books will no longer happen. Maybe at some point I’ll be driven to tell a new story.
