No Question, My Husband Rocks

Normally, my blog post on Wednesday would be an answer to one of your awesome questions from my January 2nd contest. That will resume next week, but this week is a little special. You see, tomorrow is my 16th wedding anniversary, so today’s blog is all about my husband and how awesome he is.

I met my husband in high school. Technically, we met in 2nd grade, but high school is where we became friends. We were in Debate together (we were even briefly debate partners) and in our Senior year, we became more than friends. Eventually, I moved to Seattle and we married there in 1997, when we were both just 20.

Marrying so young can be very hard for people. At 20, you just don’t know who you are as a person, as an adult. You end up having two choices: you grow up together, or you grow apart. We worked hard to do the first.

He was the person who encouraged me to write, to never quit and has seen me through some very dark personal and professional times. He devotes part of his time to helping me promote my books and grow my audience.

He is my best friend and I’m very lucky to call him my husband. Happy Anniversary, babe!
